The Wanderings of the Avener (Music)
Another album and artist I discovered via Xbox Music, The Avener is a French DJ who's been touring Europe with success since last year. The Avener got famous with the single Fade Out Lines, which is a remix of a song by Phoebe Killdeer.
The whole album is quite a breath of fresh air.
It is great deep house to listen to and to dance to as well.
Some people question the amount of artistic creation involved, since most songs make heavy and extensive use of samples.
I think the work done by The Avener here is meaningful because I would never have heard of the artists he borrows from, if not for his dance floor-friendly versions.
